Prof Mohammad Abdul Bari
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
I specialise in all aspects of knee surgery and also perform primary hip replacement.
I am also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, the British Orthopaedic Association, American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and founder member of the British Indian Orthopaedic Society (BIOS).
Throughout my career, I have regularly been involved in research, audit and teaching. I have presented my research in publications and at national and international meetings.
At Tameside, I have been the Audit Lead in the past and presently charining the management of hip freactures thereby contributing to the National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD). My contribution has led to elective services.
I am also a Royal college examiner and have been a Royal College Tutor. I train orthopaedic specialist registrars from the northwest deanery.
I have been regularly appraised and revalidated.
